Combine Photo and Signature

Sign a photo or document: add it and your signature, and the signature goes right on it, with only the ink showing. Drag it into place and download. For exam, job and admission forms that want the photo and signature side by side with exact sizes and a KB limit, pick that layout instead.

About the Photo + Signature Joiner tool

By default (“On the photo”) the signature is placed on top of your full-size photo or document. The paper around the ink is removed, so only the ink shows. Drag it anywhere, resize it from its corner or with the slider, or use the arrow and plus/minus keys.

With “Side by side” or “Signature below”, the photo is cropped to fill its box exactly, and the signature is fitted inside its box without being cut off. A clean-up step turns grayish paper from a phone photo into pure white and makes the ink darker, which is what most forms expect.

The final JPG is compressed to the highest quality that fits your size limit, using the same engine as our Compress to Exact Size tool. You can also download the photo or the signature on their own, at their exact sizes.

Frequently asked questions

What sizes should I use?

Choose “Side by side” or “Signature below”, then use the sizes in your form’s instructions. A common example is a 200 × 230 px photo and a 140 × 60 px signature, under 50 KB. Check your form, as requirements differ.

My signature photo has a gray background. Will it look bad?

Keep “Clean signature” on: the paper becomes pure white and the ink darker, even if the photo was taken in uneven light.

I don’t have my signature on paper. Can I sign on the screen?

Yes. Tap “Draw it on screen” and sign with your finger, a stylus or the mouse. Pick black or blue ink and a pen size, use Undo if needed, then “Use this signature”. On a phone, turning it sideways gives you more room.

Can I put my signature on top of a photo or document?

Yes, that is the default (“On the photo”). Drag the signature where you want it and resize it from its corner. The white paper is removed so only the ink appears, and the photo keeps its full size.

Can I download the photo and signature separately too?

Yes. With “Side by side” or “Signature below”, use “Photo only” and “Signature only” to get each at its exact size and under the same KB limit.

Are my documents uploaded?

No. Everything is processed on your device; your photo and signature never leave it.
